Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery
- Deliver engaging lectures and conduct practical lab sessions for B.Pharm and D.Pharm students.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, course files, and teaching materials in accordance with PCI guidelines.
- Incorporate modern teaching methodologies (ICT tools, smart classrooms) to enhance student learning.
Research & Mentorship
- Mentor and supervise undergraduate (B.Pharm) and postgraduate (M.Pharm) students in their research projects and dissertations.
- Conduct independent research and aim for publications in reputed, peer-reviewed journals (Scopus/Web of Science).
- Participate in and organize seminars, workshops, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).
Administrative Duties
- Assist in departmental activities, including examination duties, student counseling, and evaluation.
- Contribute to accreditation processes (NAAC/NIRF) and maintain academic records (attendance, lab manuals, etc.).
- Support the university’s outreach activities, such as industrial visits, health camps, and exhibitions.
Essential Qualification
- M. Pharm in Pharmacology/Pharmaceutics from a PCI-recognized institution.
- B. Pharm from a recognized university.
- Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) registration is mandatory.
Preferred Qualification
A Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutics (as per UGC/PCI norms) is highly preferred for permanent roles and career advancement.
Experienced: 2–5 years of teaching or research experience in a PCI-approved institution is typically sought for mid-level assistant professor roles.
Skills & Competencies
- Subject Expertise: Strong command over core Pharmaceutics subjects (e.g., Physical Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, Novel Drug Delivery Systems).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with laboratory equipment (HPLC, UV-Spectrophotometer, Dissolution Apparatus) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate students, and a commitment to academic excellence.
