About the Institute
BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute (BRIC-NABI) is an autonomous Institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. BRIC-NABI aims at catalyzing the transformation of the Agri-food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science, leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. Since its inception in 2010, BRIC-NABI has been involved in research activities for Bio-fortification, the development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions for quality food and nutrition, and the development of evidence-based functional foods to counter malnutrition.
Job Description
BRIC-NABI is seeking a Research Associate for the project “Improvement of Nutritional Quality of Wheat (NABI CORE)”. This temporary position (initially 1 year, extendable) offers hands-on experience in advanced agricultural biotechnology research. Selected candidates will work with Dr. Monika Garg, Scientist-F, on innovative projects involving wheat nutrition, bioinformatics, and AI-driven data analysis.
Key Responsibilities | Research Jobs
- Analyze nutritional component diversity in wheat and study biosynthetic pathways.
- Conduct breeding and human health impact studies.
- Perform high-throughput sequencing data analysis, taxonomic profiling, and pattern analysis.
- Manage assembly, binning, functional annotation, and metabolic pathway reconstruction.
- Apply machine learning and AI algorithms for research applications.
- Assist in preparing research publications, reports, and presentations.
- Support wet-lab project work and laboratory management.
Qualifications Required for Research Jobs
- Essential: M.Pharm with research, teaching, or design and development experience with at least one SCI-indexed research publication.
- Desirable: Prior research or training in bioinformatics related to agricultural sciences.
