Job Purpose
To support drug discovery and material science programs using computational modeling, cheminformatics, QSAR/QSPR modeling, and data science methods.
Key Responsibilities for Chemist Job Role:
- Apply cheminformatics methods to analyze and interpret chemical and biological datasets.
- Implement QSAR/QSPR models for molecular property prediction and compound selection.
- Support design and optimization of small and large molecules using structure-based and ligand-based approaches.
- Use data science and machine learning techniques to analyze computational chemistry datasets.
- Prepare reports and contribute to design discussions within the team.
- Assist in the development of computational tools and workflows.
Educational Qualification for Chemist Job Role:

Technical / Functional Skills for Chemist Job Role:
- Strong understanding of computational methods for drug discovery and materials science.
- Experience with tools such as Schrodinger (Maestro, Bioluminate, Materials Science), MOE, ICM, Cresset, KNIME, Pipeline Pilot.
- Expertise in QSAR/QSPR modeling, cheminformatics, and data science techniques.
- Proficiency in molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, docking, pharmacophore modeling, shape-based and electrostatic comparison, and homology modeling.
- Familiarity with Linux clusters, GPU systems, and high-performance computing.
- Python programming knowledge is an added advantage.
