Key Responsibilities for Chemist Job Role
- Apply cheminformatics approaches to analyze chemical and biological datasets
- Develop and implement QSAR/QSPR models to predict molecular properties
- Support design and optimization of small and large molecules using structure- and ligand-based methods
- Utilize data science and machine learning techniques for computational chemistry insights
- Perform molecular modeling activities including docking, pharmacophore modeling, and simulations
- Prepare technical reports and contribute to internal design discussions
- Support development and improvement of computational tools and workflows
Skills Required for Chemist Job Role
- Strong knowledge of computational chemistry and drug discovery workflows
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Schrödinger, MOE, ICM, Cresset, KNIME, and Pipeline Pilot
- Expertise in QSAR/QSPR modeling and cheminformatics
- Experience in molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, docking, homology modeling, and pharmacophore modeling
- Familiarity with Linux-based HPC environments, GPU systems
- Knowledge of Python programming is an added advantage
