Key Responsibilities
Operate & maintain packing machines to achieve quality product & shift-wise targeted output with maximum utilisation.
- Set up and prepare packing machines as per the production plan
- Clean, calibrate, and adjust machines according to SOP
- Ensure the correct parts are used for each product
- Operate packing machines to produce quality products
- Monitor machine performance and reduce errors or stoppages
- Perform labelling and control rejected products
- Follow cGMP and safety guidelines at all times
- Maintain equipment and work area for audit readiness
- Fill machine logs and complete documentation accurately
- Check all records before submission to ensure data accuracy
- Support and guide team members in packing operations
- Ensure safe machine handling and proper use of PPE
- Report any safety issues or near-misses immediately
- Train workers on machine operations, safety, and housekeeping
- Learn new machines and improve troubleshooting skills
Major Challenges
- Meeting production targets with limited resources
- Maintaining cGMP compliance during system downtime
- Reducing product rejection and improving yield
Key Interactions
- Work with the store team for packing materials
- Coordinate with engineering for maintenance
- Communicate with contractors for machine repairs
Performance Targets
- Handle multiple batches and documentation accurately
- Ensure timely dispatch of orders
- Maintain high productivity (OTIF > 90%)
- Achieve zero accidents and zero documentation errors
- Follow 100% SOP and safety compliance
Key Decisions
- Suggest improvements in equipment and processes
- Report deviations and help implement corrective actions (CAPA)
Qualification
- Diploma in Pharmacy
Relevant Work Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in packing with knowledge of handling QMS activity, qualification, and other related documents.
