Job Description
The Clinical Data Coder 1 role involves providing comprehensive clinical data management and coding expertise to support clinical trial operations. The candidate will independently manage coding activities, maintain data accuracy, support coding applications, and collaborate closely with the Data Management team.
Key Responsibilities | Clinical Research Jobs
• Serve as Clinical Data Coder / Lead Coder / DOC for assigned protocols
• Manage coding activities through the study lifecycle
• Validate and test coding applications and reports
• Perform coding review, data clarifications, and quality checks
• Support programming, datasets, and coding edits
• Assist with project timelines in collaboration with DOC / DTL
• Perform SAE reconciliation
• Support technology implementation
• Provide coding and project-based solutions
• Handle audit requirements
• Ensure SOP compliance
• Maintain strong communication and team collaboration
Qualifications required for Clinical Research Jobs
• Degree in Pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• Strong understanding of pharmacology, medical terminology, anatomy & physiology
• Experience with MedDRA, WHODD coding dictionaries
• Knowledge of clinical data management lifecycle
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent English communication
• Ability to work independently and with teams
• LPN licensure, where applicable
