Compensation & Pay Scale

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

Crucial Date: Age and qualification eligibility are determined as of February 1, 2026.

Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in Tamil. Proof of having studied Tamil as a subject or as a medium of study in the 10th standard/SSLC is required.

Upper Age Limit: 30 years for UR/EWS (as of 01/02/2026), with relaxations for SC (5 years) and OBC-NCL (3 years) where reserved vacancies exist.

Method of Selection

Written Test: A 100-mark objective-type test (English language) covering subject knowledge.

Duration: 120 minutes with no negative marking.

Qualifying Marks: 50% for UR/EWS and 40% for SC/OBC-NCL/PwBD against reserved vacancies.

PAP Bonus: Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of NLCIL are eligible for 20 bonus marks in the overall marking system.
