The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. As the National Coordination Centre for the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) and the Materiovigilance Programme of India (MvPI), IPC ensures the quality, safety, and standardization of drugs and medical devices nationwide. IPC also provides Indian Pharmacopoeia Reference Standards (IPRS) and leads major national health and surveillance programs.
