    CSIR-CSMCRI invites applications for five temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the CSIR GATE scheme.     About the Institution

    CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), a prominent national research laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). CSIR-CSMCRI is dedicated to scientific and industrial research in marine chemicals, salt, water, and renewable energy.     Eligibility

    • Candidates with a B.Pharm degree and have qualified for GPAT are suitable, aligning with the JRF Vacancy requirements.

    Age Limit

    The upper age limit for JRF vacancy shall be 28 years which is relaxable as per CSIR rule.

    Fellowship

    • The stipend of a JRF-GATE will be Rs 37,000/ p.m for the first two years. In addition, an annual contingent grant of Rs. 20,000/- per fellow will be provided to the University / Institution.
    • On completion of two years as JRF-GATE, the fellowship will be upgraded to SRF (GATE) and the stipend will be increased to Rs. 42,000/- p.m for the 3rd and subsequent years, based on the assessment of Fellows’ research progress/achievements through an interview by an Expert Committee. HRA as per the institute rules.
    • The selected candidate has an opportunity to be registered for the PhD program. The duration of the fellowship is a maximum of five years as per HRDG guidelines indicating the possible length of tenure within the JRF Vacancy. Other rules and regulations as per HRDG guidelines.
