M Pharma Chemistry Job Description
Syngene is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist – Medicinal Chemistry to join its Discovery Chemistry team in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. This M.Pharm Chemistry position involves performing synthetic chemistry reactions, documenting experimental data, and supporting discovery projects with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry, experience in handling laboratory equipment, and a commitment to maintaining Syngene’s high standards of safety, quality, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform synthetic chemistry reactions, reaction workups, and compound purification using techniques such as column chromatography, crystallization, recrystallization, preparative TLC, and laboratory instrumentation.
- Submit synthesized samples for analysis, document results, and communicate progress to supervisors or group leaders.
- Accurately record observations, experimental data, and resource utilization in laboratory notebooks or electronic notebooks, ensuring confidentiality.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain instruments and equipment; promptly report any breakdowns to the maintenance team.
- Understand and follow MSDS guidelines for handling chemicals and emergency response procedures in the event of spills, leaks, or fires.
- Ensure proper waste segregation in compliance with EHS norms.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and update training records as required.
- Consistently maintain confidentiality of projects and data.
