Project Details
- Project Title: “Regenerating Compressed Nerves using Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Collagen Scaffold via Tunnelling Nanotube-Mediated Mitochondrial Transfer” (GP-496)
- Sponsor: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
- Supervisor: Dr Ashutosh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER SAS Nagar
- Objective: Research on nerve regeneration using mesenchymal stem cells and collagen scaffolds
- Key Techniques: Tunnelling nanotube-mediated mitochondrial transfer, in vitro and in vivo studies
- Role of Candidate: Conduct experimental research in pharmacology and toxicology, assist in project-related lab work and reporting
- Tenure: Temporary for 1 year, extendable yearly up to 3 years based on performance, co-terminus with the project
- Additional Opportunity: Eligible to register for a PhD program at NIPER during the project duration
Qualification
- First class M.S. (Pharm.) / M. Pharm. / M. Tech. (Pharm.) or equivalent degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology/Pharmacology/Biotechnology or equivalent branch.
Desirable Qualification
Candidates having experience in the area of Pharmacology and Toxicology / Animal Experimentation and in vitro experience shall be given preference.
Fellowship
- Rs. 56,000/-p.m. + HRA, as admissible.
Additional Information:
- The selected candidate shall be allowed to register for the PhD programme as per the rules and regulations of the Institute.
- The engagement is full-time and purely temporary initially for a period of 1 year and extendable annually based on performance for up to 3 years.
