Positions Available
Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for the post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) & Project Technical Support III in an ICMR-funded project as per details given below: –
1. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Essential Qualification:
Postgraduate degree, including an integrated PG degree in Life Science/ Pharmacology or allied subjects from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification:
- Candidates who have qualified NET/GATE or an equivalent examination.
- Those possessing hands-on experience in Molecular biology techniques, such as RT-PCR & genome sequencing, LCMS/HPLC techniques.
- At least 1 year of experience in health research, preferably involving a hospital-based study.
- Prior experience in ICMR/DST/DBT/other funded projects.
- Knowledge of data analysis using SPSS/Stata/R.
- Familiarity with ICMR ethical guidelines, GCP, and project coordination, and fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi
- Good communication and team coordination skills in managing hospital-level liaison.
- Emoluments per month: As per ICMR rules.
- Upper Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years (as on the last date of the application process). Relaxation will be given as per the rules.
2. Project Technical Support III – One Post
Essential Qualification:
Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences/Pharmacology or allied subjects from a recognized university, or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology/Life sciences or allied subjects from a recognized university with three years of experience.
Desirable Qualification:
- Preference will be given to candidates having hands-on experience in LCMS/HPLC techniques and molecular biology techniques.
- Knowledge of Biostatistics and Bioinformatic analysis.
- Familiarity with ICMR ethical guidelines, GCP, and project coordination, and fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi
- Emoluments per month: As per ICMR rules.
- Upper Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years (as on the last date of the application process). Relaxation will be given as per the rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in ICMR funded project activities.
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as RT-PCR & genome sequencing.
- Handle LCMS/HPLC techniques.
- Support hospital-based health research studies.
- Assist in project coordination and hospital-level liaison.
- Perform data analysis using SPSS/Stata/R.
- Follow ICMR ethical guidelines and GCP.
Additional Information
The engagement in the project is purely temporary, for the period of duration of the project. However, appointments will initially be offered for a period of one year and will be extended every year depending upon satisfactory performance and co-terminus with the project. Please note that it is not a PGIMER/ICMR appointment and will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit on any position.
