Job Description
- Project title: “Pharmacological modulation of PFKFB3 and HMGB1 as a Novel Strategy to Prevent Acute Decompensation and Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis in advanced chronic liver disease”
- Pre-clinical investigations and molecular studies: Handling of small laboratory animals (mice and rats), in vivo toxicity and efficacy analysis, and molecular investigation of biological samples.
- Proficiency in primary cell isolation & in vitro mammalian cell culture studies and Flow Cytometry-based analysis
- Experience in Gut-Barrier dysfunction assays
- Gene-Expression analysis, Protein expression analysis, ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry
- Data compilation, analysis, and writing of project report and manuscripts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-clinical investigations and molecular biology experiments
- Perform in vivo toxicity and efficacy studies
- Execute mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry analysis
- Perform gene and protein expression studies
- Compile experimental data and assist in manuscript preparation
- Support project documentation and reporting activities
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Post Graduate in Pharmacology (M. Pharm/M. S Pharm) or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution
- Desirable: NET/GATE qualification or any national eligibility test will be preferred.
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Remuneration: Rs 28,000 + 30% HRA

- The appointment under the project shall be on a “contract basis” for the period of 12 months initially and will be extended based on performance.
