Job Description
The Scientist II, RSL (B Pharma Job) is responsible for performing analytical testing and maintaining GLP compliance in the Reference Standard Laboratory. The role requires expertise in pharmaceutical analysis, efficient lab operations, and contributing to projects that enhance global public health standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all analytical testing and data analysis with precision and minimal errors.
- Support Verification, GPH, PQM, stability, and other departmental teams as needed.
- Manage sample archival, tracking, and chemical inventory in the laboratory.
- Coordinate with supervisors to complete assigned projects efficiently and troubleshoot scientific issues.
- Perform equipment calibration and prepare/execute IQ/OQ/PQ for new instruments.
- Ensure availability of chemicals and columns, and manage purchase requisitions.
- Uphold GLP and laboratory safety standards; actively participate in audits and certification processes.
- Take on additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Qualification
Master’s degree in Pharmacy; candidates with a B Pharma degree or related background are encouraged to apply.
Experinece and Skills
- 3–6 years in pharmaceutical analytical or QC laboratory roles.
- Proficiency in chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC) and spectroscopic techniques (UV, IR).
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical testing protocols, compendial methods (USP, ICH, FDA regulations).
- Expertise in Empower software, GLP regulations, and laboratory documentation.
- Experience with GC, thermal analysis, mass analyzers, ERP, QR coding, and electronic lab notebooks.
- Prior exposure to high-volume QC labs, analytical R&D, or contract testing laboratories.
