Job Description:

The Senior Application Support Engineer role at Syngene focuses on supporting manufacturing systems like Emerson Syncade and DeltaV used in pharma operations. The candidate will troubleshoot technical issues, manage database performance, and ensure smooth 24/7 system operations. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, handling integrations, documenting issues, and maintaining system reliability. The role also involves working with SQL databases, deploying solutions, and supporting production environments. Strong knowledge of GMP, manufacturing processes, and IT systems is required. Candidates must be able to resolve complex issues efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and implementation partners to configure, build, and perform implementations, enhancements, and bug fixes for RTMS.
  • Provide support for operationalizing the manufacturing and peripheral systems.
  • Ensure uninterrupted 24/7 operation of manufacturing systems for CAR T manufacturing, including on-call support on weekends on a rotation basis.
  • Work closely with our users to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work independently and with internal teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document and record issues and escalations in ServiceNow to help build and maintain a knowledge base related to technical aspects of the platforms.
  • Cell Therapy integration-related project works.
  • Cell Therapy integration-related BAU works.
  • Implementing and deploying Integrations YAML files in Production & Test Environments from 3rd party systems.
  • Deploying models in Test and Prod environments.
  • Follow RTMS escalation processes and interface with different tier teams as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1.5+ years of experience in pharma/biotech projects, focusing on Manufacturing and IT disciplines.
  • Knowledge of shop floor activities, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and process automation.
  • SQL Database performance tuning.
  • Monitor SQL Jobs failures and be able to fix them.
  • Integration of 3rd-party database with RTMS, preferably via YAML scripting.
  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to help identify and resolve issues in the RTMS Database, related issues like data slowness, data inconsistencies, and data misses.
  • Ability to create or build the new RTMS Database server infrastructure.
  • Ability to deploy the deliverables in the production environment.
  • Ability to understand the 3rd party data pipeline systems.
