Job Description
The project aims to estimate the impact of a medical adherence app and a manual pill organiser on medication adherence and clinical outcomes in geriatric patients on multiple medications. This will be a community-based study conducted at three sites, KEM, Vadu; AFMC, Pune and SJMC, Bengaluru. The project will evaluate the medication adherence app and pill organiser in the elderly population these interventions in a factorial design RCT in three centres in approx. 700 patients.
This Research Scientist Job under this Pharma Job category involves coordinating research activities, ensuring smooth implementation of the study, and supporting data analysis and reporting in a multi-centric RCT.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination with the field team for the conduct of the community-based study.
- Coordination with other sites for the multi-centric RCT.
- To report to the principal investigator for weekly progress.
- Communication with IEC, HR and finance team.
- Development of a study tool and assistance in the analysis of the project.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s qualification in health sciences, pharmacy or related subject in public health OR with clinical research experience of at least 2 years.
- Age Limit: 35 Years
- Project Duration: 6 Months
Experience Required
- Availability and willingness to work from the office and travel on field
- Managing a team of field research assistants
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, managing relationships with external partners
Desirable:
- Experience writing for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Prior experience in coordinating a project
- Experience conducting fieldwork
Preferred Language: English
Skills Required
- Knowledge of clinical research and ethics, especially in the domain of public health and community-based studies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to perform job duties.
- Computer proficiency with a high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Fluency in English and Kannada.
Salary
- Rs. 72,800/- per month
