    The Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB) is India’s premier research institute dedicated to developing innovative bioprocesses and bio-products, especially in the agri-food sector.     Job Description

    The selected Junior Research Fellows will contribute to ongoing projects in the following mandated R&D areas of CIAB:

    • Value Addition to primary processing residues/wastes for edible products.
    • Valorisation of Crop Waste for specialty products and chemicals.
    • Nutritionals & Nutraceuticals and upgrading the value/use of bioproducts.
    • Biosynthetic Technology/Synthetic Biology for low-volume, high-value products and industrial enzymes.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Conduct Research Projects: Execute experiments in CIAB’s R&D areas, including value addition of crop residues, nutraceuticals, and bio-products relevant to the field of pharmaceutical jobs.
    • Experimental Design & Planning: Develop and implement protocols for lab-based and pilot-scale studies.
    • Data Collection & Analysis: Record, analyze, and interpret experimental data accurately.
    • Collaboration: Work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary research teams.
    • Laboratory Management: Maintain lab equipment, reagents, and follow CIAB safety and quality protocols.
    • Documentation: Prepare research reports, presentations, and contribute to scientific publications.
    • Technology Development: Assist in the development of novel bioprocesses or products.
    • Ph.D. Research Support (if applicable): Engage in Ph.D.-related work at CIAB’s partnering institutes/universities.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with current trends in biotechnology, bioprocessing, and related research fields, which are crucial for advancing in pharmaceutical jobs.

    Educational Qualification

    M Pharma, MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences, essential for pursuing careers in the pharmaceutical jobs sector.

    Experience and Skills

    • Candidate must already hold a fellowship granted by CSIR/UGC/DBT/DST/ICAR/ICMR or other recognized funding agencies.
    • Final-year master’s students with an awarded fellowship may also apply (proof of degree completion and fellowship certificate required at the time of joining).
    • Incomplete or improperly formatted applications will be rejected.
    • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
    • Separate applications required if applying for more than one position.
    • CEO, CIAB reserves the right to shortlist candidates if applications are large in number.
    • Selection decisions by CIAB will be final.
