Job Description
As a Pharmacist at Motherhood Hospital, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medicines. Your responsibilities will include dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications, maintaining accurate records, and providing guidance to patients and medical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Ensure all prescriptions comply with legal and medical guidelines.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, stock levels, and expiration tracking.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient and inventory records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide medication therapy management and address patient healthcare needs.
- Support hospital initiatives for patient safety and quality care.
Educational Qualification
B Pharm or M Pharm degree from a recognized institution.
Experience and Skills
- Valid Pharmacist License as per local regulations.
- Proficiency in dispensing medications and understanding pharmaceutical interactions.
- Strong skills in inventory management and record keeping.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills for patient interaction.
- Attention to detail, organizational ability, and teamwork orientation.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is an added advantage.
