Pharmacist Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pharmacist at Matria Hospital, located in Kozhikode. The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, offering pharmaceutical advice to healthcare professionals, and counseling patients about their prescriptions. The role includes managing inventory, ensuring compliance with healthcare policies and regulations, and maintaining accurate records of drug storage, dosage, and use. Collaboration with medical staff to ensure the best patient care practices is an integral part of the role.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical science and medication preparation
- Proficiency in reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards
- Strong counseling and communication skills to guide patients and healthcare professionals
- Experience in inventory management and record-keeping related to drug storage, dispensing, and stock control
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team and follow on-site operational protocols
- Proficiency in using pharmacy-related software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) and a valid pharmacist registration/license
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
