Educational Requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure comprehensive patient care and maintain pharmacy quality standards.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Store pharmaceuticals under optimal conditions to minimize expiry.
- Control drug purchase costs through negotiation and contract management.
- Dispense medications with correct labeling and clear usage instructions.
- Provide discharge medication counseling in a language understood by patients.
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding prescriptions and drug-related queries.
- Maintain secure storage of narcotics and controlled substances.
- Conduct stock taking and drug audits regularly.
- Enter medication orders into dispensing software systems.
- Maintain minimum stock levels in nursing units.
- Provide formulary support to doctors.
- Handle patient concerns and recommend improvements in policies and procedures.
- Maintain departmental documentation and ensure confidentiality.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on work requirements.
