Job Description
This position is part of the Safety Operations team within Global Patient Safety (GPS). The role involves processing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and acting as a case owner for adverse event reports to ensure accurate review, quality control, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities for this Pharmacovigilance Job
- Process adverse event reports from all source types
- Perform full data entry and determine seriousness, expectedness, and causality
- Select correct suspect drug in the Pharmacovigilance Safety System
- Write narratives summarizing relevant medical information
- Code medical terms using MedDRA
- Conduct medical review to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Generate case queries and coordinate follow-ups
- Perform quality checks and case clean-ups for aggregate reports
- Maintain compliance with worldwide and regional safety regulations
Educational Requirements for this Pharmacovigilance Job

Degree in Pharmacy or related field
Experience Required
- Pharmaceutical industry experience (Regulatory or Safety) – Preferred
- 2–3 years of hospital, patient care, or equivalent experience – Preferred
