Job Overview for Pharmacy Job Role:
Responsible for assisting with overall Clinical Safety and/or PSS operations associated with products including the entire adverse events process. Manage and process expeditable adverse events to required standards and submit them to clients and regulatory agencies within timelines. Provide safety services either as client support or standalone business support. Must comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH regulations 1989, and EC Directives 1992/3.
Key Responsibilities for Pharmacy Job Role:
- Manage receipt and processing of all adverse event reports (spontaneous or solicited).
- Data entry of safety data into adverse event databases and tracking systems.
- Review adverse events for completeness, accuracy, and expedited reporting needs.
- Write patient narratives and code adverse events using MedDRA.
- Determine listedness against appropriate label for marketed products.
- Identify missing clinically significant information and request follow-up.
- Ensure medical review and expedited reporting within required timelines.
- Report endpoints to clients, regulatory authorities, ethics committees, investigators, 3rd party vendors, partners, and project personnel is required for this Pharmacy Job role.
- Submit expedited SAE reports as per client agreements and study timelines.
- Contribute to database reconciliation with Data Management teams.
- Manage Expedited Safety Reports (ESRs) and Periodic Safety Reports (PSRs).
- Maintain adverse event tracking systems and project documentation.
- Assist with reporting of ESRs/PSRs to global stakeholders.
- Perform quality/peer review and support trend analysis.
- Maintain understanding of SOPs, WIs, and PV guidance.
