Introduction of the Programme:
NIPER-Guwahati invites applications from motivated candidates for its direct PhD admission 2025-26. The institute aims to build future research leaders through high-impact research in chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, analytical sciences, pharmacy practice, medical devices, and biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria for the PhD Admissions
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/M.S. Pharm/M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related fields.
- Minimum Marks: 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.75/10 (55% for SC/ST candidates).
- Fellowship: Valid fellowship from CSIR-UGC (JRF), DBT (JRF), ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or equivalent.
- Candidates awaiting final results may also apply.
- Note: GPAT/GATE and similar exams are not accepted for this admission.
- Financial support and tenure will follow the respective fellowship agency rules and institute norms.
Age Limit:
Upper age limit: 28 years (relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL, PwD, and women candidates as per Government norms).

Selection Process for the PhD Admissions:
