Qualifications

A professional Master’s degree (M.Pharm / M.Tech)
The candidate must have qualified in at least one of the following national-level scholarship/fellowship exams with more than 95% percentile (valid as of 01 August 2026):
- CSIR / UGC-JRF
- DBT
- ICMR
- DST-INSPIRE
- GATE
- Candidates in the top 10 percentiles of GATE, candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR NET without JRF, may also be considered if they have at least 6 months of continuous research experience.
Fellowship
All selected candidates in the PhD Programme will be eligible to receive:
- JRF fellowship (Rs. 37,000/month + HRA as applicable) for the first two years
- Standard annual contingency
Upon fulfilling the qualifications for registration, the fellowship will be upgraded to:
- SRF (Rs. 42,000/month + HRA as applicable)
Selected candidates may also avail of their own national fellowship or the TIFR fellowship.
