Essential Qualification
- M.Sc. with at least 55% Marks in Pharmaceutical Sciences from any UGC recognized University/Institute.
- Candidates with CSIR-UGC-NET/ GATE/NETLS/GPAT in Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Chemical Sciences or equivalent will be preferred.
Desirable Qualification
Preference may be given to candidates with good theoretical and/or practical knowledge in the areas of molecular biology/cell culture biology/cancer biology/ Genetics /Animal handling/ Drug and Drug Intermediate Synthesis and Molecular Modeling
Experience Required
Two years’ experience in Research and Development in industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and scientific Activities and services.

Emoluments
i) ₹ 35,000+ HRA to scholars who are selected through:
- National eligibility tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
- A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments (eg. GPAT) Departments and their agencies and Institutions
ii) ₹ 28,000 + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Term of engagement
- The initial appointment shall be for a period of one year, which may be extended further based on the candidate’s performance.
- The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The engagement shall not be treated as University service. However, the selected candidate will be permitted to register for a Ph.D. at the Central University of Punjab, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria and approval of the competent authority.
Age Requirements
Not more than 35 years as on date of the interview (Relaxation in age is permissible for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms)
