This is a field-based scientific expert role supporting the medical affairs plan for both newly launched and pre-launch products in the rare diseases portfolio.The role shapes clinical practice through scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, policymakers, government bodies, and internal teams. The Regional Medical Advisor contributes to evidence generation, scientific exchange, medical insights, and patient-centric solutions through deep therapeutic expertise.
Key Responsibilities (Pharm D Jobs)
1. Scientific Expertise
- Maintain expertise in disease state management, emerging therapies, and product knowledge.
- Lead and contribute to Field Medical Strategic Plan (FMSP).
- Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide scientific mentoring and training.
- 2. Scientific Exchange
- Engage in peer-level scientific discussions with key stakeholders.
- Provide balanced information on AstraZeneca products.
- Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Organize medical events, symposiums, advisory boards, and scientific exchanges.
- Collaborate on study proposals and scientific publications.
- Deliver tailored scientific lectures aligned with field medical communication strategies.
3. Customer Insights
- Collect and analyze medical and scientific insights.
- Provide actionable recommendations for medical strategy.
- Identify gaps in patient journeys and contribute to solutions.
4. Strategic Relationship Building
- Build peer-level relationships with thought leaders and professionals.
- Identify investigators for clinical and post-marketing studies.
- Support data generation and investigator-sponsored studies.
- Expand network to include non-traditional stakeholders.
- Build strategic partnerships to improve patient access and healthcare outcomes.
5. Other Responsibilities
- Utilize digital and innovative tools for scientific exchange.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of pharmacovigilance, GxP, GCP, and AE reporting.
- Maintain ethical compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and global medical standards.
Qualifications : Pharm D Jobs
Essential Requirements
- Scientific or master’s degree in a scientific discipline
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent project management and presentation skills
- High-level analytical and conceptual thinking
- Ability to communicate across multiple medical channels
Desirable Requirements
- Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)
- Experience in pharmaceutical, regulatory, clinical, or preclinical research
