Job Description
Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical) for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project in the Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) – Vellore- 632014, Tamil Nadu.
Title of the Project:
- Small Molecule/Peptide Conjugated Receptor Targeted In Vivo miRNA Delivery System for Restoring Infarcted Myocardium
Key Responsibilities
- Work under ICMR funded research project
- Contribute to Small Molecule/Peptide Conjugated Receptor Targeted In Vivo miRNA Delivery System research
- Support experimental activities in synthetic organic chemistry/bioconjugation chemistry/chemical biology
- Perform cell culture and small animal handling (preferred experience)
- Assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators in project execution
Qualifications
- First Class in Post-Graduate (PG) Degree, including an integrated PG Degree in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Sciences or related disciplines from a recognized university. For this VIT Vellore Jobs
Desirable
- Ph.D. (awarded or thesis submitted) in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Sciences disciplines is desirable.
Candidates with hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry/bioconjugation chemistry/chemical biology, or candidates with hands-on experience in cell culture and small animal handling, will be preferred.
Stipend
- Rs. 56,000/- + 10% HRA per month (for first two years), Increment @5% on initial emoluments after completing two years for candidates with ICMR/DBT/CSIR JRF/Valid GATE score. For non-JRF/GATE-qualified candidates, the stipend will be paid as per the Institute’s norms.
