The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) as a part of BRIC Recruitment, has announced a walk-in interview for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF). The SRF Vacancy is under the project titled “Exploring the marine ecosystems for novel bioresources with human health and industrial significance.” Eligible Indian nationals with relevant qualifications and research experience are invited to apply and attend the interview on November 11, 2025.

BRIC–Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Essential Qualification:

M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.V.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences or allied subjects such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Virology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Microbiology with at least 55% marks. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of research experience.

Preference will be given to candidates qualified through NET/GATE/GPAT. For non-NET/GATE candidates, fellowship will be applicable as per DST guidelines.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working in BSL3/ABSL3 facilities with Mycobacterium tuberculosis or similar bacterial pathogens,
- OR experience in high throughput anti-mycobacterial compound screening,
- OR experience in NGS data analysis, including single-cell sequencing or transcriptomics.
Remuneration:
₹42,000/- per month + 18% HRA
