Educational Qualification:
- M.Pharm or Ph.D. in Pharmacy, preferably in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
- Certification in Patent Law preferred.
Key Responsibilities for Executive Job Role:
- Manage the lifecycle of the branded portfolio from an IP standpoint, including competition monitoring and analysis.
- Conduct patent landscape and infringement analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate patentability, handle patent filings and prosecution processes.
- Support IP enforcement preparation and maintain proactive readiness for legal actions.
- Execute search and analysis activities in areas like APIs, NCEs, formulations, technologies, and device-related inventions.
- Perform IP due diligence for in-licensing and out-licensing projects.
- Assess freedom to operate (FTO) for the in-house branded portfolio.
- Conduct validity analysis of blocking patents and identify potential in-licensing opportunities.
Experience:
2–3 years of experience in intellectual property management within the pharmaceutical industry.
Skills Required for Executive Job Role:
- Strong expertise in patent drafting, prosecution, and analysis.
- Deep understanding of IP laws and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
