About the Institution
BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute (BRIC-NABI) is an autonomous Institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. BRIC-NABI aims at catalyzing the transformation of the Agri-food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science, leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. Since its inception in 2010, BRIC-NABI has been involved in research activities for Bio-fortification, the development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions for quality food and nutrition, and the development of evidence-based functional foods to counter malnutrition. 1. Senior Project Associate (One position)
- Project Title: “Accredited Test Laboratory (ATL) under National Certification System for Tissue Culture Raised Plants (NCS-TCP) at NABI, Mohali (Punjab)” (GAP-44)

- Duration: Till Project i.e., 31.09.2026 or till the termination of the project
- Essential Qualification:
- Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering /Technology/ Pharma from a recognized University or equivalent
- Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month

2. Research Associate I (RA-I) (One position)
- Project Title: “Molecular and biochemical characterization of nutritionally enriched genetically engineered plants” (NABI Core)
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Siddharth Tiwari, Scientist F, BRIC-NABI
- Funding Agency: NABI CORE Grant
- Duration: The RA fellowship is a purely temporary assignment and is tenable for a period of 2 years, extendable to 4 years.
- Essential Qualifications:
- PhD/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree with three years of research, teaching, and design and development experience after M Pharma with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Candidates who have submitteda Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for viva voce may also apply.

3. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (One position)
- Project Title: “Targeting Microglia and Brain-Derived Macrophages to Reverse Compulsive Sugar Eating and Sugar Withdrawal Symptoms” (GAP-82)
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Mohit Kumar, Scientist-C, BRIC-NABI
- Duration: The initial appointment will be one year, extendable to two years.
- Essential Qualification: First-class post-graduate degree such as M.Pharm/M.Sc/M.Tech or Equivalent in the relevant field
- Desired Experience:
- Strong knowledge of basic concepts of brain anatomy, behavioral neuroscience, immunology, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
- Practical knowledge of molecular biology techniques.

- All interested candidates may appear for a Walk-In-Interview at the National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute located at Knowledge City, Sector-81, Mohali, Punjab- 140306, on 03.02.2026 at 09:00 AM, along with the duly filled application form available on the website www.nabi.res.in.
- Interested candidates for these Pharma Jobs must apply using the prescribed application form attached to the advertisement on the official website. CVs or expressions of interest sent via email or phone will not be accepted as valid applications.
