Job Description

Bausch + Lomb, the global eye health company, is hiring a Pharmacovigilance Specialist (business title: Vendor QC Associate, Pharmacovigilance and Materiovigilance – Medical Affairs, India) in its Global Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management (GPRM) / R&D Medical Affairs function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the case-processing vendor and quality-review vendor-processed ICSRs and medical device events.
  • Review weekly/monthly case quality data.
  • Review and approve AE/SAE and device event reports (queries, case assessment, narratives, MedDRA coding).
  • Act as local PV designee for B+L India.
  • Carry out expedited ICSR reporting to the local regulator.
  • Manage PV agreements with third-party distributors.
  • Own post-marketing surveillance (re-examination) programmes and oversee CRO activities.
  • Report SAEs to CDSCO and the global function.
  • Prepare medical device adverse event and safety information reports.
  • Support Medical Affairs (promotional material review, medical information, KOL and speaker management).
  • Develop and revise local PV/PMS SOPs and train staff.

Eligibility Criteria for the Bausch + Lomb Pharmacovigilance Job

  • BS, MS or Doctorate in Pharmacy, Nursing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmacovigilance, materiovigilance or post-marketing surveillance experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
