    Job Description

    The Scientific Officer will be appointed at the Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory (RDTL), Guwahati under CDSCO. The role involves drug testing and standardisation and research as per the Recruitment Rules. The position is classified as Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial and falls under Pay Level 10. Deputation (including short-term contract) will be regulated in accordance with DOPT’S order as amended from time to time.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognized university or Institute.
    • Experience: Six years’ experience in drug testing and standardisation and research.
    • Desirable: Doctorate in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised University or Institute.
    • Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

    Salary Details

    Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories or University or recognized research institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous or statutory organization.

    • (a) (i) holding analogous posts regularly in the parent cadre or department; or
    • (ii) with two years of service rendered after appointment to the post regularly in level-9 (Rs. 53100-167800/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent; or
    • (iii) with four years of service rendered after appointment to the post regularly in level-8 (Rs. 47600-151100/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent; and
    • (b) Possessing the following educational qualification and experience.

    Documents Required

    • Application in prescribed format Annexure-II duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned with seal by the Cadre/Appointing authority.
    • Attested copies of APAR/ACRS for the last 5(five) years duly attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.
    • Integrity Certificate.
    • Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
    • Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed during the last 10 years of service.
    • Certificate that the particulars furnished have been verified and found correct as per service records.
    • Cadre Clearance Certificate.
