The PharmaChem team (Chennai and Hyderabad, 20+ members) indexes chemical compounds in patents for the Derwent Innovation product and reports to content managers in India and London.
Key Responsibilities
- Code and index chemical compounds present in patents in line with Derwent Innovation product policies and conventions.
- Play an active role in the team and keep up with current trends and new developments in pharma and chemistry.
- Upskill in pharma, chemistry, intellectual property, data analysis and other technical skills.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc Chemistry graduate.
- Fresher, or 1 to 2 years of experience in chemistry or pharma-based content editing (not related to R&D).
Required Skills
Useful skills:
- ISIS Draw / Marvin JS
- Patent analysis
- Internet research
- Nomenclature of chemical compounds
- Knowledge of drugs and their human use
Good to have:
- Elementary German, French or Spanish
- Markush structures, IUPAC nomenclature, complex chemical reactions
- Content writing, analysis, MS Office
