Clinical Pharmacology Job Description
The Clinical Pharmacologist in this clinical pharmacology job will be responsible for maintaining all operations within NABH standards and performing sterile compounding of anti-cancer drugs. The role includes providing clinical medication education, preparing meeting agendas for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and conducting regular audits of medication carts and narcotics. The Clinical Pharmacologist will also review patient records, perform drug utilization reviews, and compile reports on medication errors and adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all operations within NABH standards.
- Perform sterile compounding of anti-cancer drugs.
- Provide clinical medication education, particularly in oncology for nurses.
- Prepare Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting agenda and circulate minutes.
- Prepare antibiotic utilization data for the Hospital Infection Control Committee meeting.
- Perform regular crash cart audits, medication cart audits, and narcotic audits.
- Review patient records and enter drug orders using eMAR.
- Compile detailed reports of medication errors and ADRs and present them in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meeting.
