About the MPharm Job
Able to provide IP support as well as proactively identify potential IP driven opportunities in Europe, Emerging Markets & North America. The role is primarily responsible for providing IP support and advice on intellectual property matters for ongoing projects independently.
MPharm Job Responsibilities
- Well versed knowledge on Patent Law provisions and basic understanding of the Regulatory Law of the EU & Emerging Markets (BRM).
- Supporting Glenmark R&D, portfolio and Business functions with IP Support and to provide clearance to the formulation strategy, trade-dress/packaging strategies.
- Devising and reviewing design-around strategy, invalidation strategy and Freedom to Operate (FTO) strategies, as well as highlighting the IP risk to the stakeholders.
- Able to carry out IP Due Diligence activity (Review of the dossier, landscape report and IP based agreements) independently for In-License projects.
- Able to identify critical IP and highlight the same to the manager and other stakeholder timely.
- Working with various stakeholders including formulation scientists, Regulatory Affairs, portfolio team and commercial team.
- To keep monitoring IP scenario, competitive intelligence and to timely update about the changed scenario in order to take action timely for upcoming launches.
- Preparing and reviewing the memos, techno-legal documents for all the litigation (ongoing & upcoming), coordinating with outside counsel and putting up a robust plan for litigation.
- Building strong relationships and aligning with cross-functional team.

Job Requirements
- Education:
- M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics, industrial Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science.
- A Law degree or equivalent training or Registered Patent Agent will be preferred.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in Intellectual Property Management in the pharmaceutical industry or within a reputable law firm.
