The Safety Science Coordinator II will assist with the overall Clinical Safety and/or Pharmacovigilance operations associated with products, including the adverse events process. This Fortrea Bangalore careers role involves managing and processing adverse event reports, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing high-quality service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Process adverse event reports from various sources according to client/sponsor agreed plans.
- Manage data entry of safety data onto adverse event databases and tracking systems.
- Review adverse events for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness for expedited reporting.
- Write patient narratives and code adverse events accurately using MedDRA.
- Ensure appropriate medical review of cases and prioritize expedited reporting to regulatory agencies.
- Assist with quality review or peer review of processed reports.
- Support training of PSS staff and mentor the team as needed.
- Maintain compliance with governing regulatory requirements and applicable study/project plans.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-degree + 1 year of Safety experience or 3 years relevant experience.
- Associate degree + 1 year of Safety experience or 2 years relevant experience.
- BS/BA + 1 year of relevant experience.
- MS/MA + 1 year of relevant experience.
- PharmD + 1 year of relevant experience (a one-year residency or fellowship can be considered as relevant experience).
- Preferred degree disciplines include Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related areas.
Required Skills
- High degree of accuracy with attention to detail.
- Ability to function as a team player and offer peer support.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Windows applications.
