IIT BHU SRF Job Description
The IIT BHU SRF will be engaged in a DBT-sponsored project aimed at leveraging generative AI and predictive modelling techniques for the development of innovative therapeutic strategies against Alzheimer’s Disease. The role requires a dedicated researcher to contribute to various aspects of the project, including experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on Tau protein-targeted PROTACs.
- Utilize generative AI and predictive modelling in drug discovery.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
- Prepare reports and publications based on research findings.
- Participate in project meetings and presentations.
- Assist in mentoring junior researchers and students.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and data.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
IIT BHU SRF Eligibility Criteria
- First class M. Pharm/M. S. (Pharm.)/M. Tech (Pharm)/M. Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry; OR
- Second class M. Pharm/M. S. (Pharm.)/M. Tech (Pharm)/M. Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry/medicinal chemistry.
- Upper age limit is 35 years (relaxable as per GoI rules); SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Required Skills
- Experience in organic drug synthesis and characterization.
- Proficiency in computational modelling and generative AI.
- Familiarity with Python programming.
- Strong scientific writing skills evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
- Qualified in GATE/GPAT/CSIR-UGC-NET or equivalent examination.
- Research experience in medicinal chemistry or related fields.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a research team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
