    Who Can Apply for the IPC Pharmacovigilance Internship?

    The candidates pursuing or have completed any of the courses in the following areas are eligible to apply:

    • Pharmaceutical Sciences (B. Pharm/M. Pharm/Pharm D./Ph.D)
    • Medical Sciences (MBBS, MD, DM)
    • Dental Sciences (BDS, MDS, and Ph.D)
    • Nursing (B.Sc./M.Sc. Nursing)
    • Pharmacology (Clinical Pharmacology/Clinical Research)
    • Allied health science courses (B. Tech, Biochemistry, etc.)

    Selection Criteria

    • The interns/trainees will be selected as per the requirement of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PVPI).
    • The candidate must possess first class in the Graduation/Post-graduation in the relevant discipline.
    • The candidates must submit a forwarding letter from the Head of the Department/Institution.
    • Undergraduate students must submit a letter of recommendation from their College/University/Institute indicating the requirement of internship/training and the duration necessary for the fulfillment of their degree.
    • The selected candidates will be intimated via email.

    Duties of Intern

    The interns shall follow all rules and regulations of the NCC-PVPI. During this IPC pharmacovigilance internship, interns will assist PVPI in case processing of Adverse Events/Adverse Drug Reactions (AE/ADR), data entry in VigiFlow/ADRMS, assist in other activities assigned by NCC-PVPI personnel from time to time, and maintain the confidentiality of information.

    Fees/Remuneration

    The following fees will be collected from the participants for their internship:

    • 1 Month: Rs. 2000/-
    • 1-3 Months: Rs. 5000/-
    • 3-6 Months: Rs. 10000/-

    The fee shall be paid by the selected interns within 13 days of the receipt of email confirmation from MCC-PVPI. No remuneration or accommodation will be provided during the internship. Fee once paid will not be refunded. Note: All interns must carry their own laptop during the internship.
