Job Description
Jubilant is hiring skilled candidates for a Research Associate position in the Synthesis department. This Pharma Job involves the synthesis, purification, and characterization of novel intermediates for drug discovery projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Synthesis, purification, and characterization of novel intermediates.
- Deliver small to large quantities of novel chemical entities for drug discovery.
- Work collaboratively in a team to drive chemistry projects forward.
- Responsible for the safe conduct of reactions.
Qualification
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry or a related field / M. Pharma.
- Experience: 1-5 years of industry experience with any leading CRO organization.
Technical and Functional Skills
- Excellent knowledge in basic and advanced organic chemistry.
- Good knowledge of functional group conversion and multiple-step synthesis.
- Basic knowledge of retrosynthetic analysis (desirable).
- Good expertise in handling pyrophoric reactions.
- Good knowledge of TLC, column purification, and extraction.
- Excellence in analysing NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data.
Behavioural Skills
- Always adhere to safe laboratory practices.
- Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic research environment.
- Always stretch when the project challenge increases.
- Good knowledge of computers (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and structure drawing (Chem Draw/ISIS) and recording in an electronic lab notebook.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good in literature search using Reaxys.
