Labcorp Sample Handling Assistant Job Description
The Labcorp Sample Handling Assistant role involves supporting critical laboratory workflows such as data registration, requisition processing, batch creation, and sample tracking. Selected candidates will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of clinical sample data, which is essential for downstream laboratory testing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing sample accessioning and data entry from requisition forms
- Completing first and second-level patient demographic entry
- Managing batches based on urgency and turnaround time
- Creating and exporting batches using internal systems (e.g., ImageNow)
- Performing volume analysis and workload distribution
- Checking and cleaning CPP reports and AD pending lists
- Ensuring timely processing of all assigned batches
- Coordinating email follow-ups with internal stakeholders
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Science (Life Sciences preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of data entry processes
