- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

- Upper Age Limit: 28 Years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PWD as per GoI Rules)
- Educational Qualification: M. Tech / MS (Pharm) / M. Pharm / M.Sc in Pharmacy / Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, M.Sc in Chemistry/Material Science or Equivalent with minimum 60% marks.
- Salary: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA
Job Description
The selected candidate will work on the project titled “Fiber Reinforced Poly (L–lactic acid) for Fabrication of Bio-absorbable and Antibiotic Surgical Staples for Wound Closing.” The NIPER Kolkata JRF role involves research and development in biomaterials, specifically focusing on the fabrication of surgical staples that are bio-absorbable and antibiotic-coated.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on bio-absorbable materials for surgical applications.
- Assist in the fabrication and testing of surgical staples.
- Document research findings and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with team members on project objectives.
- Participate in meetings and discussions regarding project progress.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables.
- Engage in literature review and analysis related to the project.
NIPER Kolkata JRF Eligibility Criteria
- Indian citizenship.
- Relevant educational qualifications as mentioned above.
- Experience in biomaterials development is preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a valid GPAT/NET/GATE qualification.
- Prior experience in a funded project will be advantageous.
