About the Role
The Supply & Logistics Specialist (SLS/SrSLS): supports the Supply & Logistics Project Manager in developing and executing clinical trial supply chain strategies. The role involves clinical trial supply and logistics, sourcing, distribution, inventory planning, third-party provider management, project coordination and GxP compliance. The specialist will help ensure that clinical trial supply activities are delivered on time, within budget and according to applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Supply & Logistics Project Manager in developing study-specific logistics strategies.
- Develop clinical supply, sourcing and distribution strategies.
- Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets and risks.
- Maintain study-specific management tools and documentation.
- Support resource planning for Clinical Trial Supply & Logistics activities.
- Manage pass-through costs and reporting.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and procurement teams.
- Help negotiate provider scope of work.
- Develop inventory plans based on forecasts and study requirements.
- Prepare and maintain supply schedules.
- Coordinate with clinical teams regarding study progress.
- Provide feedback to depots and relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- For senior-level responsibilities, mentor Clinical Supply Specialists and Clinical Supply Assistants.
- Ensure activities comply with ICH GCP and GxP requirements.
