Job Description
This role involves method development, method validation, method transfer, and R&D stability studies by using laboratory instruments like Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometer, Polarimeter, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate analytical methods for drug substances and drug products.
- Perform analysis using HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometer, Potentiometer, and stability chambers.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA+ principles.
- Conduct calibration and qualification of analytical laboratory instruments.
- Prepare and review raw data, SOPs, and instrument operating procedures.
- Handle Quality Management System (QMS) activities such as OOS, deviations, incidents, and change controls.
- Manage procurement and inventory of standards, chemicals, reagents, and laboratory consumables.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, safety guidelines, and internal SOPs.
- Use MS Office, Outlook, and other tools for routine laboratory activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients and overseas stakeholders through emails and reports.
Safety & Compliance Responsibilities
- Follow all safety practices, procedures, and company guidelines.
- Support the development of systems and processes that ensure safe and compliant operations.
- Promote a strong Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture in the workplace.
- Ensure the safety of self, team members, and laboratory/workplace facilities by adhering to EHS requirements.
- Complete all mandatory training related to safety, health, and data integrity on time.
- Maintain compliance with Syngene’s quality standards and procedures.
- Take responsibility for achieving safety goals and encouraging team accountability.
- Monitor and review safety performance metrics regularly.
Qualification
- Education: M. Pharm (Analytical Chemistry/Chemistry)
- Entry-level lateral with an analytical background.
Skills and Capabilities
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, UPLC/UHPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Potentiometer, and other analytical instruments.
- Strong theoretical knowledge of chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
- Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA+ principles.
- Ability to follow work instructions and perform tasks under the team leader’s supervision.
- Experience in preparing, maintaining, and managing laboratory documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
