Job Description
- The role reports to the TA Lead – Oncology, Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, India.
- Serve as the scientific expert and key medical representative for the Oncology therapy area.
- Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to discuss treatment trends, clinical trial data, and emerging scientific developments.
- Gather valuable medical insights from healthcare experts to support and strengthen the company’s medical strategy.
- Contribute to scientific exchange and help advance patient care through evidence-based discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary scientific expert and key contact for Oncology-related medical affairs activities.
- Identify, map, and build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the assigned region.
- Engage KOLs through scientific discussions and medical affairs initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Represent the Oncology therapy area in cross-functional teams and scientific initiatives.
- Gather medical insights from healthcare professionals and share them with internal teams.
- Respond to scientific and medical information requests from Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
- Provide scientific support and training to sales teams on the latest developments in Oncology.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective medical strategies.
- Support scientific awareness and help improve patient access to innovative treatments.
- Travel extensively (70–80%) to interact with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical university Degree (PharmD or PhD)
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Good understanding of the medical affairs function
- Understanding of local regulatory policy and industry’s code of practice related to drug registration, pharmaceutical promotion, and clinical research.
