1. Senior-PAT (Position Code: 14002)
- Project Title: Valorization of Temple Floral Waste into Industrial Dyes and Leftover for Compost to Boost Circular Economy (FTT050606)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Age Limit: 40 Years as on 18-08-2026
- Stipend: Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry / M. Pharma. in Chemistry from a recognized University and 3 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions OR Doctoral Degree in Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/ Pharmacy from a recognized University and 2 years’ experience in Research and Development.
- Desirable Qualification: Research experience in the area of natural product chemistry or in natural colors/dyes.
- Key Responsibilities: Conduct research on extracting industrial dyes from floral waste and converting leftovers into compost to support the circular economy.

2. Project Scientist-I OR Principal-PAT OR Senior-PAT (Position Code: 14008)
- Project Title: Unravelling the molecular mechanism involving whitefly midgut in circulative and propagative transmission of tomato leaf curl Palampur virus (GAP0371) [DBT sponsored Project]
- Number of Positions: 01
- Age Limit: 35 Years (Project Scientist-I) or 40 Years (Principal-PAT/Senior-PAT) as on 19-08-2026
- Stipend: Rs. 56,000/- + 9% HRA (Project Scientist-I) OR Rs. 49,000/- + 9% HRA (Principal-PAT) OR Rs. 42,000/- + 9% HRA (Senior-PAT)
- Essential Qualification (Project Scientist-I): Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University.
- Essential Qualification (Principal-PAT): Masters/Integrated Masters in Natural/Agricultural/Pharmaceutical Sciences/MVSc/Animal Sciences OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine with 6 years’ R&D experience OR Doctoral Degree with 3 years’ R&D experience.
- Essential Qualification (Senior-PAT): Masters/Integrated Masters in Natural/Agricultural/Pharmaceutical Sciences/MVSc/Animal Science OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine with 3 years’ R&D experience OR Doctoral Degree with 2 years’ R&D experience.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge in plant virology, insect transmission of Plant viruses, protein-protein interaction, proteome characterization, and insect developmental biology (evident from published papers).
- Key Responsibilities: Investigate molecular mechanisms of virus transmission in whiteflies using modern proteome characterization tools.

3. Project Associate PAT-I (Position Code: 14017)
- Project Title: Long-term impact analysis of Microplastics Exposure on the cardiovascular system in solution to climate change: Zebrafish model-based risk assessment (FIR050402)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Age Limit: 35 Years as on 21-08-2026
- Stipend: (a) Rs. 31,000/- + 10% HRA for CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (incl. lectureship) or GATE-qualified candidates, OR those who cleared national-level examinations conducted by the Central Govt. Departments. (b) Rs. 25,000/- + 10% HRA for others.
- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized University.
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in handling Zebrafish as an experimental model.
- Key Responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments using Zebrafish models to study the long-term impact of microplastics on the cardiovascular system.

- Candidates reporting for an interview after 10.00 AM will not be allowed to appear.
- Eligible candidates must appear for the Walk-in-Interview with a prescribed application format (available at www.ihbt.res.in) with the latest colored passport-size photo affixed.
- Bring self-attested photocopies of testimonials (age, educational qualifications, experience) and all original certificates at the time of the interview.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD/Women (05 years) and OBC (03 years) applies as per Govt. of India instructions.
- If applying for multiple position codes, submit a separate application form for each.
- No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid for attending the interview.
- Engagement is temporary, co-terminus with the project, and does not provide any right/claim for regular, permanent CSIR posts.
- Result-awaited candidates are not eligible.
