Educational Qualification

MPharm in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Experience

1-4 years of industrial experience in DMPK/ADME research with an M Pharm in pharmaceutical sciences

Job Purpose

The Invitro ADME Scientist will support the ADME team by conducting high-quality in vitro assays, including metabolic stability and CYP inhibition studies using human liver microsomes. The role involves managing multiple projects within strict timelines, maintaining accurate lab records, and ensuring a safe and organized laboratory environment. This is a predominantly laboratory-based position requiring strong technical and time-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute in vitro single-point inhibition, reversible CYPIC50 inhibition, and TDI-IC50 shift assays.
  • Coordinate with the BA-DMPK group to design in vitro CYP inhibition studies.
  • Prepare SOPs and EOPs and ensure compliance in reporting study results.
  • Adhere to EHS requirements for individual and lab/plant safety.

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of in vitro ADME assays and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Knowledge of enzyme kinetics, as well as proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism.
  • Experience with automation is desirable.

Behavioral Skills

  • Team player with a commitment to the timely delivery of study reports.
  • Adaptability to changes in the laboratory environment.
  • Strong communication skills for presentations in scientific meetings and peer-reviewed journals.
