Pharmacovigilance Job Description
The Pharmacovigilance Services Associate will support drug safety and pharmacovigilance activities, including ICSR processing, adverse event assessment, MedDRA coding, case management, safety database maintenance, follow-up activities, and regulatory compliance to ensure patient safety and adherence to global pharmacovigilance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and evaluate Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs).
- Perform case identification, booking, and follow-up activities.
- Conduct duplicate checks and case validation.
- Perform adverse event assessment and case processing.
- Assess seriousness, causality, and expectedness of adverse events.
- Generate and update case narratives.
- Perform MedDRA coding for adverse events and medical history.
- Ensure accurate data entry and safety database maintenance.
- Conduct quality checks and consistency reviews.
- Support pharmacovigilance compliance activities.
- Meet regulatory timelines, SLAs, KPIs, and project requirements.
- Archive and maintain safety-related communications and documentation.
