    Job Description

    The role of a Pharmacy Informatics Specialist involves architecting clinical data frameworks to support the integration of technology in healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for closed-loop medication management, ensuring that systems like Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR) work seamlessly together. This position also includes building clinical decision support systems to prevent adverse drug events and managing the electronic pharmacy formulary.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Closed-Loop Medication Management: Architecting and maintaining integrations between CPOE, eMAR, BCMA, and automated dispensing systems.
    • Clinical Decision Support (CDS): Building and updating drug-drug, drug-allergy, and dose-range alert systems inside the EHR.
    • Formulary & Database Governance: Managing the electronic pharmacy formulary and standardizing drug naming conventions.
    • Smart Infusion & Robotics Integration: Overseeing the technical configuration of smart infusion pumps and inventory automation.
    • Data-Driven Clinical Research: Collaborating with data scientists to analyze prescribing patterns and medication adherence.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • A Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm), or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized institution.
    • Postgraduate training, fellowship, or formal certification in Pharmacy Informatics, Health Informatics, or Clinical Data Management.
    • Preferably over 5 years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience, with at least 2 years in EHR/EMR implementation.
    • Strong understanding of clinical vocabulary standards and pharmacy operational workflows.
