Educational Qualification
Master’s or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Experience
3 to 7 years of experience in oral dosage formulations (solid/liquid)
Job Purpose
The Formulation Scientist will be responsible for the execution and development of oral dosage formulations, ensuring robust scalable product development, bio-studies, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination to achieve successful product approvals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document formulation development strategies.
- Identify potential challenges and propose solutions proactively.
- Collaborate with analytical teams for batch analysis and data review.
- Prepare documentation for licenses, pilot plant batches, and regulatory clearances.
- Present project updates to delivery managers biweekly.
- Coordinate with process teams for optimization, scale-up, and plant execution.
- Support product filing, deficiency responses, and submission of exhibit batch samples.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company systems.
Technical Skills
- Experience with differentiated solid oral dosage forms and modified release formulations.
- Hands-on with lab-scale and plant-scale manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of ICH guidelines, regulatory requirements, cGMP, and cGLP practices.
- Data analysis and problem-solving expertise.
