Job Description
In this Research Associate Job at Jubilant Biosys Career, the candidate will be responsible for designing synthetic routes for target molecules and executing multi-step organic synthesis reactions from milligram to gram scale. The role includes compound purification, structural characterization using spectroscopic techniques, troubleshooting synthetic challenges, and maintaining accurate experimental records. The candidate will also perform scientific literature searches using tools such as SciFinder, contribute to discovery chemistry projects, and ensure data integrity through electronic laboratory notebook (eLNB) systems in compliance with research standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop synthetic routes for target molecules
- Perform multi-step organic synthesis (mg to gram scale)
- Carry out purification and isolation of chemical compounds
- Characterize compounds using spectroscopic techniques (NMR, LC-MS, etc.)
- Conduct literature searches using scientific databases (SciFinder)
- Troubleshoot reaction and synthesis challenges
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks (eLNB)
- Ensure accurate documentation and data integrity
- Support discovery chemistry research programs
- Follow laboratory safety and compliance standards
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: M.Pharm in Medicinal Chemistry, M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry / General Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in organic synthesis or discovery chemistry
